Free MO CDL Tanker Vehicles Practice Test 2025

  • Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements.

From the rolling hills of the Ozarks to the bustling streets of St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri has much to offer those who want to explore its beautiful landscapes. However, as a truck driver, you are responsible for safely transporting your cargo, which can sometimes be hazardous. There’s no time to admire the scenery while you are passing through winding roads in a fully loaded tanker. Tanker trucks have a higher center of gravity and liquid surge can make handling more difficult than what you’re used to in your personal vehicle.

Anyone who wants to drive tankers in Missouri must obtain the Tank Vehicles (N) endorsement on their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Depending on the job you are applying for, you might also need a HazMat (H) endorsement. It allows you to transport hazardous materials such as gasoline, pesticides, toxic chemicals and even jet fuel. Combined together, these two endorsements are often referred to as an “X” endorsement, which puts you at a significant advantage in your field.

Although you are embarking on a long and challenging journey, it is also a rewarding one. Before you can get behind the wheel of an actual tanker, you must learn the various aspects of the Tank Vehicles endorsement. Your main point of reference will be the official 2025 CDL manual (Missouri CDL Handbook 2025), which contains essential information on commercial driving (including the safe operation of tanker vehicles).

To maximize your chances of passing the official Tank Vehicles knowledge exam (which is required for obtaining a Tank Vehicles endorsement), you should train on our Missouri CDL Tanker Endorsement practice tests. Updated for November 2025, these practice tests have several useful features. Our automated assistant will be present during your training sessions, ready to assist you with hints, real-life examples, and comprehensive explanations.

Once you begin a practice session, you will notice a general overview on the upper-left side of the screen. It displays the total number of questions, how many questions you’ve gotten right and how many more mistakes you can make before you fail. While you need to score at least 80% to pass, we recommend ignoring this requirement while you are still in the learning phase. Instead, you should learn from your mistakes and memorize the correct answers.
