- Perfect for first-time and renewal CDL/CLP applicants, and those adding endorsements
- Based on 2025 PA commercial driver's license manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for September 2025
Not everyone is cut out to be a desk jockey. Pennsylvania is known for being the home of the Declaration of Independence, and its residents should look at a career as a commercial Passenger Vehicle driver as a way to claim their freedom from dead-end and boring occupations. Sure, there are opportunities as a rideshare driver with Uber or Lyft, but anyone with a driver’s license can fill those jobs. Additionally, rideshare drivers are responsible for all of their vehicle expenses. Commercial Passenger Vehicle drivers are qualified to serve a variety of employers including municipalities, airports, hotels, and health care facilities.
The first step to beginning a career as a commercial Passenger Vehicle driver is adding a ‘P’ endorsement to your Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). In order to operate a vehicle carrying 16 or more people, including the driver, this endorsement is a necessity. You will need to successfully pass a written knowledge test and a road skills test demonstrating your ability to operate such a vehicle. Our free Pennsylvania CDL Passenger Vehicle Endorsement practice test is an excellent resource to prepare for the challenge of the knowledge test. The practice test is based on the 2025 CDL manual (Pennsylvania CDL Handbook 2025) and is up to date as of September 2025.
Setting itself apart with an interactive approach, our practice test exceeds the preparation quality of any study guide. Passing the official knowledge test requires that you answer 80% of the 20 questions correctly. The practice test has questions just like the ones you will see on the official exam. You will provide answers to questions concentrating on four sections of the CDL manual: Driving Safely, Transporting Passengers Safely, Vehicle Inspection, and Basic Vehicle Control Skills. Any wrong answers submitted will be accompanied by a detailed explanation of the correct answer. Thus, you’ll be better equipped to retain your knowledge and pass the official test on the first attempt.
Pro Tip: Pennsylvania residents know that embracing anything involving life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is a no-brainer. Using on-line resources, handbooks, and our CDL Passenger guide will make that pursuit worthwhile.
Our targeted endorsement practice test collection makes that pursuit more enjoyable with information about driving opportunities nationwide.
