Free TN CDL Passenger Vehicles Practice Test 2024
Tennessee offers beautiful scenic drives through the Great Smoky Mountains and along the Natchez Trace Parkway. Tourists from all over the world come to explore the central part of our country, but some use tour buses or transit buses to get around. Transporting 80 travelers in a full-size bus through Nashville is no easy task. It requires you to master several aspects of commercial driving, including handling passenger vehicles.
You must have a Passenger (P) endorsement on your commercial driver’s license (CDL) to legally transport 16 or more occupants, including yourself. This endorsement is granted after passing the Passenger knowledge test and the CDL skills test in a bus of your preferred class (A, B or C). This endorsement does not automatically include school buses. For that, you need a School Bus (S) endorsement, which is obtained similarly but focuses on a different area of commercial driving. If the school buses you intend to drive can carry 16 or more occupants including yourself, you’ll also need the P endorsement.
Whether they are tourists on a city break or locals commuting to work, everyone expects their driver to be professional. You are temporarily ensuring their safety, which is a serious responsibility. That’s why the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) requires all aspiring drivers to master every aspect of transporting passengers safely.
The official 2024 CDL manual explains this subject in detail. It contains everything you need to know for the Passenger knowledge exam, but there are additional helpful resources that can boost your learning journey. Our CDL Passenger endorsement practice tests closely reflect the actual written exam, allowing you to become familiar with the format. Students also use these tests to identify mistakes and develop a better understanding of commercial driving.
With a total of 20 questions, you must score at least 80% to pass. There are multiple answer options for each question, but only one is correct. Immediate feedback is provided after each question, allowing you to recognize the wrong answers and remember the correct ones. Since you have unlimited attempts, it’s recommended to practice as much as possible. You’ll get better, and your score will naturally increase with repetition, enabling you to pass the official exam on your first try.
