Aspiring commercial drivers interested in operating combination vehicles must obtain a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). This license allows you to drive any combination vehicle with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, whose towed unit exceeds 10,000 pounds.
