VT CDL Combination Vehicles Practice Test 4 2025
10 min
In Vermont, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) oversees the licensing process. Aspiring commercial drivers interested in operating combination vehicles must obtain a Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License). This license allows you to drive any combination vehicle with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, whose towed unit exceeds 10,000 pounds. Section 6 of the official Commercial Driver’s Manual (Vermont CDL Handbook 2025) will teach you how to safely operate combination vehicles. We recommend reading this section multiple times during your learning phase, and when you’re ready, you can use our Vermont CDL Combination Vehicles Practice Tests to evaluate your knowledge.
The practice test that you’re about to take has been recently updated for December 2025. It accurately reflects the latest updates brought by DMV rules or state law. You will always practice with the latest version. (For the most up-to-date information, you should visit the official DMV website.) Many of our practice tests are untimed, including this one. You can answer all questions at your own pace without being pressured by a countdown.

In the top-right corner of the page, you will find the test settings menu. It includes several features you can use to enhance your testing experience. Change the font size by adjusting the slider and make the text bigger until it becomes easier to read. Additionally, you can enable ambient music and the voice-over function to improve your focus and eliminate distractions. A stable internet connection is required to train with this practice test. As long as you’re not in private browsing mode, your progress will get saved automatically, allowing you to continue an interrupted practice session.
Aspiring commercial drivers who seek an alternative to the official commercial driver’s manual can use our Free Vermont CDL Permit Practice Test to study general commercial driving theory. Train with this tool during the following weeks and improve your knowledge one question at a time. On exam day, you’ll effortlessly achieve a passing score on your first attempt.

What we use
Driver handbook • Knowledge‑test/permit overview • Fees & ID requirements • Office/appointment info
How we make exam‑like questions
We mirror recurring themes (e.g., right‑of‑way traps, sign look‑alikes) and use similar distractors and wording styles.
What we don’t do
We don’t collect or publish actual test items and we’re not affiliated with DMV.
