Ohio BMV Services

The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is in charge of driver’s licenses, tags, titles, and registrations. While the BMV is in charge, it has different types of offices located throughout the state. You can visit a Deputy Registrar License Agency, Driver Exam Station, or County Clerk of Courts Title Office, depending on your needs.

These offices keep different hours. In addition, they are open various days of the week. That is why it is so important to check the BMV locations and hours of operation prior to going in person. Otherwise, you might end up at an office that isn’t open. Then, you’ll have to come back another day.

Schedule Your Driver Test Online

It can be busy at the BMV, so take advantage of the online scheduling option for driver’s exams. You can use the online form to schedule an exam at an exam station. Then, you won’t have to worry about dealing with a long wait when you arrive in person. This makes it much easier to take your test.

Using the Online Services

The Ohio BMV also has some online services available. Utilize these online services if you want to avoid taking a trip to the BMV.

You can update your address or change your mailing address online. You can also renew, replace, or exchange your license plates or pay your reinstatement fees if your license has been suspended. You can also register your next of kin or emergency contact so law enforcement can contact him or her if there is an emergency. On top of that, you can register to be an organ donor. You also have the option of checking or modifying your CDL self-certification online.

All other tasks must be completed in person.

Contact the Ohio BMV
