To legally operate a motorcycle in Connecticut, you must have an "M "endorsement on your driver’s license. The state (DMV) oversees the licensing process. It requires completion of a safety course, passing the official Motorcycle Knowledge Exam, and passing a vision screening. While it is optional, many aspiring riders obtain a Motorcycle Learner’s Permit to practice before taking the safety course.

So what should you expect during the Connecticut Rider Education Program (CONREP) course? You will attend an online course followed by 16–20 hours of classroom and on-cycle training. After completing this course, you will receive a completion card. You must present the completion certificate to the DMV within two years of completing the course. Keep in mind that riders under 18 may not carry any passengers for the first 6 months, while those aged 18 and older must wait 90 days before they can carry a passenger.

We’ll help you master the theory required to safely ride motorcycles. Our Connecticut Motorcycle Practice Tests are designed to boost your learning potential. You’re about to take the second practice test in this series, which includes questions based on the official Motorcycle Operator Manual (Connecticut Motorcycle Manual). All questions have multiple answer choices, but only one is correct.

Questions you answer incorrectly will be automatically saved in your personal Challenge Bank™. This section includes helpful insights and detailed explanations. Learn from your mistakes and identify areas that need improvement by reviewing all of your missed questions at the end of your study sessions. As your knowledge improves, your Challenge Bank will get smaller. Available 24/7, our practice tests can be accessed anytime, anywhere in the world. You can run a quick session while waiting in line at the grocery store or schedule several hours of study during the weekend.

The roads of Connecticut are best explored on two wheels, but you must ride safely at all times. Dedicate the following weeks to your learning phase and use our Free Connecticut DMV Motorcycle Permit Practice Test to build a strong foundation for your riding skills.
