- Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
- Based on official Michigan 2025 Driver's manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for September 2025
Have you ever wanted to ride a Harley-Davidson from Detroit to Grand Rapids? Perhaps you’re more interested in a Japanese sports bike. Regardless of your preferences, all riders in Michigan must ride safely and adhere to local laws. Until you can ride freely in the Wolverine State, you must study and build the foundation for your riding skills.
Our Michigan DOS motorcycle permit practice tests make it easy for you to master this subject. This intuitive tool uses a different approach to studying the various aspects of riding theory described in the official DOS motorcycle operator manual (Michigan Motorcycle Manual). Each practice test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you must score at least 80%. We recommend ignoring your score if you intend to use this tool for educational purposes. These practice tests can help you become a safe and responsible rider by boosting your learning potential.
At any point during each training session, you can activate the voice-over feature. This function can be found on the left side of the page, under the “Test settings” menu. Once activated, an artificial voice will read the questions and answer choices aloud. Students with an auditory memory greatly benefit from this feature, allowing them to retain information more efficiently. Train with our practice tests even while multitasking or in an environment where reading is not feasible. You get unlimited attempts, and since we have omitted any timer from this tool, there’s no need to rush through the questions.
Quickly navigate through questions using the available keyboard shortcuts. A complete list can be displayed with the “Shift + ?” key combination. Keep your hands on the keyboard to reduce distractions and increase focus during each practice session. The journey to becoming a licensed rider in Michigan may be challenging, but the freedom that comes with riding the open roads is worth the effort. As we help you pass the official motorcycle knowledge exam, remember that the final goal of this resource is to make you a better rider, one prepared to ride safely.
