Ready to begin the journey toward driving on your own in the Cornhusker State? Whether you are a teenager or an adult learning to drive for the first time, the process begins with obtaining an Instruction Permit. Before the permit can be issued, you must pass a vision screening as well as the Nebraska DMV written Knowledge Examination. The official exam isn’t easy. It covers a large amount of material from the Nebraska Driver’s Manual, and the questions are worded in such a way that they test your conceptual understanding of the material. Memorizing some outdated study guide or static pdf won’t prepare you for the official exam. Our series of Nebraska DMV Written Permit Test Questions & Answers Practice Tests will. With the AI-driven, interactive features of our expert-crafted practice tests that focus on the material actually needed for the test, we skip the fluff and get you prepared in less time and less fuss!

Our practice tests also feature a review at the end of each practice session that points out areas that need further study. Our trademarked Challenge Bank remembers any questions you miss so you can face them again and again until you achieve mastery. We have built a system that ensures you are fully prepared and ready to pass on your first attempt. Once you’ve aced this practice test, try another: https://driving-tests.org/nebraska/nebraska-dmv-practice-test/.

In Nebraska, you may apply for a School Learner’s Permit (LPE) beginning at age 14, and a Learner’s Permit (LPD) at age 15. To pass the written knowledge examination, you must achieve a score of at least 80%. For minors, the Instruction Permit represents the first stage of Nebraska’s Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) system, which gradually adds driving privileges (GDL stages include: LPE, SCP, LPD, POP, and then a full license available at age 17). Permit holders must practice driving only when accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 21 years of age and seated beside them. Adult applicants must also complete the vision screening and written knowledge examination and obtain a permit before practicing behind the wheel, but they are not subject to the same GDL restrictions.
