To get a Nevada driver’s license, you must obtain an instruction permit to practice driving. A key requirement is passing the Nevada DMV written knowledge test.
The Nevada DMV knowledge test has 25 questions based on the official driver’s manual (Nevada DMV Handbook (NV Driver’s Manual) 2026). The passing score is 80% (40 correct). Reading the manual alone often isn’t enough – in 2020-2023, about 47.2% of applicants failed the Nevada knowledge test on their first attempt.
This is our second Nevada Permit Practice Test, current for May 2026 and based on the official Nevada driver’s manual. Choose the best or most complete answer for each question.
If you’re unsure of an answer, our AI Assistant can give you a hint or explain the question further. If you still miss it, the Assistant will show you the correct answer and an explanation. We also offer a Nevada Permit Test Study Guide with document checklists, fees, and tips for test day.

Use this second set to check construction zones plus turning and u-turns after the first permit practice test
This page is online practice, not the official DMV exam. Use it to check construction zones plus turning and u-turns, then confirm the current NV testing option before relying on an at-home exam.
Nevada's Class C knowledge test has 25 multiple-choice questions. You need 20 correct answers (80%) to pass, and the DMV system stops once you reach 20 correct answers or six incorrect answers. Plan for up to 25 questions, not 50, whether you test online...
Based on the categories assigned to this second practice test pool.
Treat this as a second read, not a repeat of the first practice test.

Test 2 changes the question mix so you can separate understanding from memorized answers.
Use Test 3 to confirm that construction zones plus turning and u-turns no longer pull your score down.
