New Hampshire Permit Practice Test Four 2025
If you don’t need or want a New Hampshire driver’s license, that’s perfectly OK with us. But what if you do? If you’ve never driven before, obtaining a driver’s license will take you some time and effort. Fortunately, we can help. Our practice tests and other tools will get you started on the road (pun intended) to a driver’s license. These tools will help you pass the official DMV knowledge test on your first try. (The passing score is 80%.)
This is one of our tools: our fourth New Hampshire Permit Practice Test. Like our first three permit practice tests, it’s designed to help aspiring drivers like you pass the DMV knowledge test. Like the official knowledge test, this practice test is based on the official New Hampshire driver’s manual (New Hampshire DMV Handbook (NH Driver's Manual) 2025). All 40 questions on this practice test are multiple choice. You must choose the best or most complete answer for each question.
This practice test includes questions on changing lanes, driving emergencies, intersections, passing and being passed, pavement markings, right-of-way rules, and road signs.
The Progress Bar will keep track of your score as you go through the test. When you get a question right, it will turn green. If you miss a question, it will turn red. If you get stuck on a question, ask our AI Assistant to elaborate or give you a hint. You can also ask it your own questions about driving. If you still miss the question, the AI Assistant will give you the correct answer and an explanation. Not satisfied with your final score? You can retake this practice test as often as you wish until you master the material. Each time, the order of the questions will be randomized.
Do you wish you could get a PDF list of the exact questions (with answers) you’ll encounter on your official knowledge test? Unfortunately, that’s something we can’t give you. To create a knowledge test, the DMV draws questions randomly from a huge pool of candidate questions, so we can’t predict the specific questions they’ll draw for you. However, our practice test questions have proven similar to the official knowledge test questions we know they’ve used. In addition, we have two PDF “cheat sheets” (not for actual cheating, though!) for you: “The Top 100 Most Common US DMV Questions” and “The 121 Most Common US Road Signs Questions.” You will probably encounter some of these questions on your official knowledge test. Each “cheat sheet” includes the correct answer for each question listed.

At Driving-Tests.org, we understand the importance of reliable and accurate practice tests to help you prepare for your DMV exam. That's why we've developed a meticulous process to create and continually update our practice questions, ensuring they reflect the most current driving laws and regulations.
Here's an inside look at how we maintain the highest quality in our practice tests.
Content Creation and Verification Process
- Alignment with Official Manuals:
Every question we develop is based on the most recent version of each state's official driving manual. Our team regularly monitors each state DMV's website for the latest updates to ensure our practice tests are always aligned with the most current information. - Community Feedback Integration:
We leverage feedback from our vast community of users to understand which topics are most frequently tested. This helps us focus on the areas that are most relevant and beneficial for your preparation. - Expert Content Creation:
Our in-house editor, Steven, who has extensive experience in driver education, crafts each question with precision. He conducts a thorough review of each question against the official manuals to ensure accuracy. - Rigorous Review Process:
Once Steven has finalized a set of questions, our team conducts a joint review session. This second level of scrutiny involves content accuracy, proofreading, and fact-checking to eliminate any errors. - User Feedback Mechanism:
After a question goes live on our site, we keep the lines of communication open. Each question features a feedback button, inviting users to report any issues or errors. This continuous feedback loop allows us to address and rectify any concerns promptly. - Responsive Updates:
In line with our commitment to accuracy, we quickly update our practice questions to reflect any changes in the DMV manuals. Additionally, we update the free electronic copy of the state's driver's license manuals on our site, typically within a few days after the DMV publishes them.
Our thorough quality control process ensures that you have access to practice tests that are as accurate and up-to-date as possible. We believe in the power of well-prepared drivers and are dedicated to providing you with the best study tools to help you succeed on your DMV exam.
