Ohio BMV Written Permit Test Questions & Answers (Test #5) 2026
Avg. first-try score: 77%
Perfect for:Learner’s permit applicants
First‑time adult applicants
To get a driver’s license in Ohio, applicants must first obtain a Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC) by passing a written knowledge test and vision test. The official knowledge exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions based on the official Ohio driver manual (Ohio BMV Handbook (OH Driver's Manual) 2026). You must score at least 75% to pass, so there is little room for mistakes. After obtaining a TIPIC, you’ll practice driving on Ohio’s roads under the supervision of a licensed adult. For applicants under 21, additional requirements include completing a driver education course and logging supervised driving hours.
We’ll help you pass the official written knowledge exam on your first attempt, provided you are dedicated to mastering this subject. Our Ohio BMV permit practice tests closely reflect the content and format of the official written knowledge exam. Each practice test is current for February 2026 and consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. For your convenience, we have omitted any timer and added several features. The “Test settings” menu on the left side of the page allows you to adjust the font size, enable the voice-over function, and change the language of the practice test.
