- Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
- Based on official Ohio Driver's manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for June 2025
To get a driver’s license in Ohio, applicants must first obtain a Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Card (TIPIC) by passing a written knowledge test and vision test. The official knowledge exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions based on the official Ohio driver manual (Ohio BMV Handbook (OH Driver's Manual) 2025). You must score at least 75% to pass, so there is little room for mistakes. After obtaining a TIPIC, you’ll practice driving on Ohio’s roads under the supervision of a licensed adult. For applicants under 18, additional requirements include completing a driver education course and logging supervised driving hours.
We’ll help you pass the official written knowledge exam on your first attempt, provided you are dedicated to mastering this subject. Our Ohio BMV permit practice tests closely reflect the content and format of the official written knowledge exam. Each practice test has been updated for June 2025 and consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. For your convenience, we have omitted any timer and added several features. The “Test settings” menu on the left side of the page allows you to adjust the font size, enable the voice-over function, and change the language of the practice test.
Our automated assistant will be present during each training session. It can provide hints that nudge you in the right direction without revealing the correct answer. Additionally, you can request real-life examples and further explanations to reinforce your knowledge. Since this intuitive tool is available 24/7, there’s no limit to how often you can train with our practice tests. Start a session at the grocery store, the doctor’s office, or the airport before your flight.
Becoming a safe and responsible driver in Ohio takes more than a passing score on a knowledge test. As you begin your learning phase, dedicate the following weeks to mastering the various aspects of driving theory. Study traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices and learn about the risks of distracted driving and the importance of defensive driving techniques.
