Whether you plan to drive for business or pleasure, the requirements for a license are the same. One requirement is to pass the official knowledge test for a learner’s permit. However, too many aspiring drivers learned the hard way that just reading the official driver’s manual (Pennsylvania DOT Handbook (PA Driver's Manual) 2024) shortly before the knowledge test did not prepare them to pass it. (In 2016, only 45% of aspiring drivers in Pennsylvania passed the knowledge test on their first try.)
