Arizona MVD Fines and Limits Permit Practice Test 2025

  • Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and senior refresher test

Our free Arizona Fines and Limits permit practice test is specially designed to test your knowledge of the legal consequences of unsafe driving. This practice test is based on the official Arizona driver’s manual (Arizona DMV Handbook (AZ Driver's Manual) 2025) and the Arizona Revised Statutes. Like the other Arizona practice tests we offer, this practice test comes with our automated assistant. If you get stuck on a question, the assistant can give you a hint or an explanation of the correct answer.

This Fines and Limits permit test has 50 multiple-choice questions and is up to date as of October 2025. Learn what the limits on blood alcohol content (BAC) are for drivers your age. Learn the minimum penalties for driving under the influence (DUI). Can you be sentenced to jail for a first offense? What fines will you be facing? (Learn these and other fines for the instruction permit written test.) Also, learn how the penalties increase if your BAC far exceeds the legal limit or a child passenger is in the vehicle with you.

Learn how long your license may be suspended for refusing a chemical test for alcohol or knowingly supplying alcohol to a minor. Also, learn the penalties for leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run) and how those penalties increase if the accident involves injury or death.

Finally, other questions and answers on this practice test deal with Arizona’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) program for underage drivers, including the requirements and restrictions on instruction permits and graduated driver licenses. Learn the penalties imposed on the holder of a Class G graduated license who was convicted of multiple violations.

In Arizona in 2023, there were 122,247 total traffic crashes, involving 237,942 drivers. 1,197 of these total crashes were fatal, involving 1,980 drivers and 1,307 total fatalities. These total fatalities included 745 drivers, 247 passengers, 271 pedestrians, and 44 bicyclists. Included in the drivers and passengers were 258 motorcycle operator and passenger fatalities. 14.4% of pedestrian crashes and 3.8% of bicycle crashes were fatal. 36 fatalities were children ages 14 and younger.

5,761 (4.7%) of the total crashes and 308 (25.7%) of the fatal crashes were alcohol related. 332 (25.4%) persons died in these alcohol-related fatal crashes. 446 (34.1%) persons were killed in speed-related crashes.

Learning about driving violations, serious driving offenses, alcohol-related penalties, and license restrictions will help you become a safer driver. Best of luck!

We know how Driver's Ed goes

The material is dry. Studying it is tedious. And you don't want to step foot inside the DMV. So you dread it, avoid it, pretend it doesn't exist. Or you go to the DMV and shoot your shot. You walk in. Take a number. Then the number takes your soul.

Noses sneeze. Babies cry. Frustration groans. And when it's finally time to take your test, you're sweating. Thirty minutes later, you're crying. Because despite your best efforts. You failed. Next thing you know, you're chasing a Waymo in circles to get home (embarrassing!).
That ends here.
At Driving Tests, we know emotions can get in the way of doing what you need to do. So we deliver Driver's Ed that makes it easy to start, and even easier to finish. We get you DMV Smart ASAP. Testing you with real, up-to-date questions. Backing up tricky driving situations with easy-to-grasp visuals & engaging practice tests that reaffirm what you know, and test you again on what you don't. So by the time test day comes - you *own* the DMV. Your only worry? Convincing the proctor you didn't cheat ;)
