CO DMV Written Test Simulator – Study Online 2026
Perfect for:Learner’s permit applicants
First‑time adult applicants
Dreaming of driving to Vail or Aspen for some skiing? Or driving to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre to see your favorite band perform while you take in the vistas all around? Or seeing the Rocky Mountains National Park via Trail Ridge Road? Whatever your fancy, if you want to drive yourself there, you must have a driver’s license.
You must pass three tests to qualify for a driver’s license: a vision test, a driving knowledge test, and a driving skills (road) test. The knowledge and vision tests are also the two tests required for an instruction (learner’s) permit. If you’re under 18 or have never driven before, you must obtain an instruction permit to allow you to practice driving under adult supervision.
The knowledge test has 25 multiple-choice questions covering road signs and signals, driving under the influence, driving rules, safety rules, and legal items. All questions are based on the official driver’s manual (Colorado DMV Handbook (CO Driver's Manual) 2026). The passing score is 80%.
