- Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
- Based on official Colorado Driver's manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for July 2025
Welcome to our Colorado Driver’s Handbook Practice Test. This intuitive tool can be used to learn driving theory and prepare for the official written knowledge exam. You will answer a set of 20 multiple-choice questions in a random order for each practice session. They are all based on the official Colorado Driver Handbook (Colorado DMV Handbook (CO Driver's Manual) 2025), which you should read at least once. This manual describes the various aspects of driving theory in detail and is published by the Department of Revenue (DMV). You will learn about the licensing process, safe driving practices, traffic laws, and handling emergencies.
You don’t need advanced computer skills to train with our practice test. We have implemented a simple user interface that makes it easy for anyone to use this tool. Use the available features to customize your testing experience and boost your learning potential. The voice-over function, once activated, reads each question and answer choice aloud. This feature is especially useful to auditory learners and students who prefer listening over reading. You can also activate the ambient music to eliminate distractions and maintain focus.
This practice test is up to date as of July 2025. You will always practice with the latest version, which reflects the latest updates brought by DMV rules or state law.
If your wireless mouse runs out of battery charge, you can finish an active practice session using only your keyboard. Press “Shift + ?” to view a complete list of keyboard shortcuts and use them to answer questions, activate features, and modify the font size. All your missed questions will be automatically saved to your personal Challenge Bank™. This section includes detailed explanations that will help you learn from your mistakes. Questions in the Challenge Bank will remain there until you answer them correctly.
The roads of Colorado are yours to discover, but you must always drive safely. Use our practice test alongside the official driver handbook to improve your knowledge and prepare for the official written knowledge exam.
