North Carolina Permit Practice Test Four 2026
Avg. first-try score: 77%
Perfect for:Learner’s permit applicants
First‑time adult applicants
Business or pleasure? Are you primarily interested in obtaining a driver’s license so you can commute to work in the Research Triangle via Interstate 40 or Charlotte’s financial centers via Interstate 77 or 85? Or do you want to drive for fun and sightseeing along the Blue Ridge Parkway or the Cherohala Skyway?
Whatever your driving plans, the requirements for a license are the same. One requirement is to pass the official DMV knowledge test. Unfortunately, in 2020 – 2023, 43.6% of applicants failed the knowledge test on their first try. Evidently, just reading the official driver’s manual (North Carolina DMV Handbook (NC Driver's Manual) 2026) before the knowledge test did not prepare them well enough to pass it.
We have created learning tools to supplement the official driver’s manual. This is our fourth North Carolina Permit Practice Test. Like our first three permit practice tests, it’s intended to help aspiring drivers like you pass the DMV knowledge test and road signs test. Like the official tests, all these practice tests are multiple choice. You must choose the best or most complete answer for each question. Like the official knowledge test, these practice tests are based on the official North Carolina driver’s manual, and their passing score is 80%.
