Prepare for your beginner’s permit knowledge test AND stay out of trouble with our special free South Carolina Fines and Limits permit practice test. This practice test is up to date as of November 2024. The questions are based on South Carolina’s official driver’s manual (South Carolina DMV Handbook (SC Driver's Manual) 2024) and the South Carolina Code of Laws. The questions focus primarily on driving under the influence (DUI) and South Carolina’s Point System.
Learn the legal limits of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) for both adult drivers and drivers under 21. Learn the penalties for driving under the influence and the penalty for refusing a chemical test for drugs or alcohol. Learn the rules for Temporary Alcohol Licenses and Route-Restricted Licenses. Also, learn the penalties for accumulating excessive points on your driving record and how the points on your driving record can be reduced.
Like the other South Carolina practice tests we offer, each of the 50 questions on this Fines and Limits permit test comes with our automated assistant. It can help you with a difficult question by supplying you with a hint or an explanation of the correct answer.
In the United States, about 37 people die in alcohol-related crashes every day, equal to about one fatality every 39 minutes. About 28 percent of all traffic deaths involve alcohol-impaired drivers. In 2022, there were 5.93 million traffic crashes, equal to about one crash every five seconds. 13,524 people died in traffic crashes in which alcohol consumption was a contributing factor.
The official South Carolina driver’s manual calls driving “one of the most risky activities you may choose to do during your lifetime.” Violating the traffic laws can mean facing penalties – or a serious accident. Good luck with your beginner’s permit knowledge test, and stay safe out there!
