- Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
- Based on official Arizona Driver's manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for July 2025
Welcome to our Arizona Driver’s Handbook Practice Test, an intuitive tool designed to help aspiring drivers build the confidence and knowledge necessary to navigate Arizona’s roads. This practice test closely reflects the content and format of the official written knowledge exam. All 20 questions have multiple answer choices, but only one is correct. Since you get unlimited attempts and nonstop access, you can train with our practice test as often as your schedule allows.
A minimum score of 80% is required to pass. However, we recommend ignoring your score during your first few attempts. Beginners are more likely to make mistakes, especially if they are unfamiliar with driving theory. We give you the opportunity to learn from your mistakes as soon as they occur, so you won’t have to wait until the test ends to know what went wrong. We will automatically forward the questions you get wrong to your personal Challenge Bank™. This section includes detailed explanations and useful information, which we recommend noting in a notebook or notebook app. Questions in the Challenge Bank will remain there until you answer them correctly.
If you get stuck on a difficult question, you can request hints from our automated assistant. This AI coach will be present during your training sessions, helping you learn driving theory. It can provide real-life examples, rephrase questions, and make the most complex topics easier to understand. To reflect the latest updates brought by MVD rules or state law, we have recently updated this practice test for July 2025. You will always practice with the latest version, but we recommend checking the AZ MVD website for the most up-to-date information.
Please read the official Arizona Driver License Manual (Arizona DMV Handbook (AZ Driver's Manual) 2025) at least once to learn about actively avoiding crashes, safely handling emergencies, traffic laws, and the most common road signs across the state. Reinforce your knowledge with our practice test and train daily for the next few weeks. On exam day, you’ll go to the MVD location prepared, ready to ace the official written knowledge test on your first attempt.
