- Perfect for learner’s permit, driver’s license, and Senior Refresher Test
- Based on official Florida Driver's manual
- Triple-checked for accuracy
- Updated for July 2025
In Florida, first-time drivers under 18 must complete a driver’s education course before obtaining a learner’s permit. This comprehensive course covers traffic laws, safe driving practices, and the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving. Adults must complete a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education (TLSAE) course (instead of a driver’s education course), which can be taken online or in person. The Sunshine State has no tolerance for impaired and irresponsible driving, so you should always be sober behind the wheel.
All applicants must then pass a vision screening and a hearing test, which ensures they meet the necessary physical requirements for driving. An 50-question knowledge test will evaluate your understanding of Florida’s traffic laws and road signs. You must score 80% or higher to pass. Adults may take the Class E driving skills test shortly thereafter, while teens must hold a learner’s permit for 12 months (or until they turn 18) before taking the skills test to qualify for a driver’s license.
Our Florida Driver’s Handbook Practice Test can significantly boost your learning potential. When used regularly, this intuitive tool helps students build the confidence and knowledge to safely navigate Florida’s roads. All 20 multiple-choice questions are based on the Official Florida Driver License Handbook (Florida DMV Handbook (FL Driver's Manual) 2025), which you should read several times.
This practice test can be accessed on any compatible device. However, the size of the text may vary depending on the device’s display settings. If you have difficulty reading, you can use the font size control to increase the font size until it becomes easier to read.
