Are you ready to prepare for the Missouri DOR Written Permit Test to secure your learner’s permit? Whether you are a teenager or a first-time adult driver, you’ll need to pass this test and a vision screening in order to obtain your permit. Our free Missouri DOR Written Permit Test Questions & Answers Practice Tests are based on the Missouri Driver Guide and focus only on what the official exam actually tests. By removing the fluff often found in study guides and static pdfs and mirroring the structure and wording used by the state, our interactive practice tests help you become fully prepared to pass the official test on your first attempt.

Missouri allows applicants to seek an instruction permit beginning at age 15, which places them at the first stage of the state’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) program. The written knowledge test consists of 25 multiple-choice questions, and you must receive a minimum score of 80% on each section to pass. That is, for the section of questions on road signs, 80% must also be answered correctly to pass. Since road signs are such an important part of the exam, we have linked to extra practice below.

Missouri’s permit test evaluates how well you understand real driving situations. That means the test questions are often scenario-based, so memorizing a study guide or some static pdf is not going to adequately prepare you. You will see questions regarding yielding at intersections, recognizing pavement markings and traffic signs, obeying school bus laws, managing speed, and responding safely to pedestrians and cyclists. Our practice tests are written to match the structure and often tricky phrasing of the official test and use photorealistic questions to prepare you for the conceptual understanding needed.

Missouri also tests your awareness of distracted driving rules and the consequences of violations under the state’s point system. You will also learn about traffic control devices, speed limits, and right-of-way rules. Our tests track your progress so you can see which topics need more attention. Missed questions are reintroduced until mastered with our state-of-the-art Challenge Bank. These features and more ensure you are fully prepared for the official exam.
