This DOR practice test is designed to help you study for a portion of your written knowledge test to get a permit and license in Missouri. The full knowledge exam will be made up of 25 multiple-choice questions pulled from the breadth of the 2023 Missouri Driver’s Guide. To pass your official test, you’ll need to correctly answer a minimum of 20 of the questions, so there’s not a lot of room for error. If you’re under 16, you can get your permit by passing the written, road signs, and basic vision tests, paying the $3.50 permit fee, and providing proof of identity, residence, and social security number, as well as having a parent or guardian present to provide parental consent. Your driver’s permit will be valid for one year, and you’ll be required to hold it for at least six months while you complete 40 hours of supervised driving. When you’re ready for your license, you’ll complete a driving exam and pay a $7.50 intermediate license fee. This practice test will focus on the signs and road situations information covered in chapters 3 through 8 of your guide that will be featured on your exam. In addition to the written examination, you’ll also be required to take a separate road sign test to gauge your recognition and knowledge of standard street signs, which may contain this information as well.
