Do you need to drive across town to your office? Do you want to go shopping where public transportation can’t take you conveniently? Or do you want to take your family on an outing? Whatever your driving plans, you can’t carry them out without a driver’s license. And no matter what your driving plans are, the requirements for a license are the same. One crucial requirement is to pass the official DMV knowledge test. Unfortunately, in recent years, about half of applicants failed the knowledge test on their first try. Evidently, just reading the official Texas driver’s manual (Texas DMV Handbook (TX Driver's Manual) 2025) before the knowledge test did not prepare them well enough to pass it. We have created learning tools to supplement the official driver’s manual. This is our Texas Permit Practice Test. Like our other practice tests, it’s intended to help aspiring drivers like you pass the DMV knowledge test. All our practice tests are multiple choice. You must choose the best or most complete answer for each question. Like the official knowledge test, these practice tests are based on the official Texas driver’s manual. If you get stuck on a question, ask our AI Assistant to discuss it or give you a hint. You can also ask it your own questions about driving. If you still miss the question, the AI Assistant will provide you with the correct answer and an explanation. Do you wish you had a PDF list of the exact Texas questions and answers you’ll encounter on your official knowledge test? Unfortunately, we don’t have one for you. The DMV randomly draws test questions from a vast pool of available questions. We can’t predict which questions it will draw for your test. However, our practice test questions have proven close to the known official test questions. And we have two PDF “cheat sheets” (in the sense of quick references, not for actual cheating!) that you can download: “The Top 100 Most Common US DMV Questions” and “The 121 Most Common US Road Signs Questions.” These are the questions most likely to appear on your knowledge test. It’s a safe bet that at least some of them will be there. Each question listed comes with the correct answer, which you should study and memorize.
