At age 15 or older, begin your application online with the Georgia DDS. (Parental/guardian consent required if under 18.)

- Clear your mistakes
Open the Challenge Bank and correct every missed question.
- Practice exam simulator
Keep practicing until you’re consistently scoring 75% or higher.
- 3–5 short study sessions per week
- 80–120 total practice questions
- Drive with a licensed adult 21+ in the front seat
- Follow all learner restrictions.
GA DDS permit test - what to expect
The Georgia permit test has 40 questions. You must get 30 correct (75%) to pass.
- Where: Any Georgia DDS office (find locations)
- Bring: ID + SSN + residency proof + permit/license fee (see checklist)
- If you fail: Retake the next business day (7 days after a 2nd or later failure).
- Commonly missed: safe following distance (3-second rule), right-of-way at intersections.
