Prepare for your instructional permit knowledge test AND stay out of trouble with our special free Georgia Fines and Limits permit practice test. This practice test is up to date as of April 2025. The questions are based on Georgia’s official driver’s manual (Georgia DDS Handbook (GA Driver's Manual) 2025) and the Georgia Code. The questions focus primarily on Georgia’s Points System and the penalties for various driving offenses.
Learn the penalties for aggressive driving, reckless driving, violating the Move Over law, littering from your vehicle, speeding in a work zone, leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run), and passing a stopped school bus with flashing red lights. Learn how many points will be added to your driving record if you’re found guilty of speeding, running a red light, driving too slowly in the passing lane, driving with an open container of alcohol, or passing on a curve when your view ahead is restricted. Also, learn how long your license will be suspended if you’re found guilty of driving under the influence (DUI), refusing a chemical test for blood alcohol, or other offenses. (The penalties for some of these offenses include fines and additional state fees. Try to memorize these fines and fees for your instructional permit knowledge test.)
Like the other Georgia practice tests we offer, each of the 50 questions on this Fines and Limits permit test comes with our automated assistant. It can help you with a difficult question by supplying you with a hint or an explanation of the correct answer.
Driving is an inherently risky activity. The traffic laws are there for the safety of all road users, including you. Violating the traffic laws can mean legal penalties – or a serious accident. Good luck with your instructional permit knowledge test, and stay safe out there!
